[Now that those are out of the way, Luke rests his chin in his hand and stares off to the side, lost in thought. The thing he wanted to talk to Ion about... It's been weighing heavily on his mind ever since he heard it. Luke isn't sure what to think of it, or even how to feel about it. There's a sort of happiness inside him, sure, but... he can't deny the hesitation and confusion he feels. So, after a few minutes, he opens up the journal again to ask the general populace:]

[And Luke sits down at the table and stares down at the table absentmindedly, cheek resting in his hand. All that talk about changing into an original got him thinking...]

[You try hearing your best friend be extremely excited about his insides being spread across the floor. Sheesh.

Luke makes a face at Guy before he slowly lowers himself in the chair again. Stupid Guy.]

[The kitchen is quiet, the only noises being the chop of a knife or the sizzle of a pan as Guy prepares some stir fry.]

...Though you might want to explain to Asch why you turned into him before he gets any weird ideas.

[STANDS UP AGAIN, this time nearly tipping the chair over. Thankfully, the poor thing manages to fall back on all of its legs as Luke slams his hands down on the table.]

Asch can avoid people for any number of reasons and I don't presume to know all of them.

But that is probably one. [Into the pan goes the rest of the veggies.]

Okay, well, of course I know that.

But he's an idiot. So he might not have worked it out for himself yet, because if I know him at all then I'd have to say he's probably avoiding the topic even in his head.

Because this is none of my business. This is between you and him, and if you want him to respect you then you need to be the one to talk to him about your business.

[Luke just glowers at Guy for a moment because he wanted to avoid the topic, too! But... he's right. If he wants to fix something, he has to do it himself.

He sinks down in his chair and practically drops his head on the table with a SMACK, not even caring if that hurt his forehead.]

He still keeps his back to Luke as he fixes their food, though.]

...Luke, I've been meaning to ask you. Does it...bother you? Me and Asch, that is.

[And that makes Luke lift his head up and rub his forehead, though that might be more to give him something to do rather than nurse a wound.]

Guy turns and grins, flicking the spatula in Luke's direction.]

Because I value your opinion, obviously! Even if you're not all that experienced with romance in the practical sense, despite all the women you seem to gather.

[Guy, that was practically one long "DAMN Luke". Luke makes a face, then turns to stare ahead of him with a thoughtful frown.]

I want to say it doesn't bother me. I really want to say it... But it's not really like that. I mean, it's not as bad as it was when I first found out, but... you're my best friend, and Asch is my original, the guy who hates me.

I always thought Asch liked Natalia, and you... I don't even know. I guess it was just the last thing I expected, that's all.

[Guy turns back to the food, because he can't look at Luke for the next part.]

Do you want me to break up with him?

[Guy keeps his voice light; his expression is anything but.]

[Luke eyes widen, and he clenches his fists and he stands up again.]

[Guy reaches up into the cabinets for some plates.]

If it bothered me that badly, I would've moved out or something!

[Luke stays standing, fists down against the table and fixing Guy with a glare at his back.]

Do you remember when the two of you had that big fight, when I couldn't hear anything? Do you remember how I yelled at you to talk to Asch and try to fix things? Do you really think I would've done that if it bothered me that much?!
