[Filtered to Guy//Ridiculously hackable Unhackable]
Hey, Guy? My hair's getting kind of long... Could you come cut it for me? I'd do it myself, but I can't really see back there...
[Filtered to Ion//So hackable it hurts Unhackable]
Ion, can I talk to you? It's important.
[/Filter]
[Now that those are out of the way, Luke rests his chin in his hand and stares off to the side, lost in thought. The thing he wanted to talk to Ion about... It's been weighing heavily on his mind ever since he heard it. Luke isn't sure what to think of it, or even how to feel about it. There's a sort of happiness inside him, sure, but... he can't deny the hesitation and confusion he feels. So, after a few minutes, he opens up the journal again to ask the general populace:]
What do you think it means to have a soul?

Is the fountain in the shopping center all right?
[Filtered]
I imagine it will be much easier for you to find me than I you, given I am somewhat blind. I should be the only one there wearing a blindfold.

[And Guy really will be, thank goodness his house is so close.]
[Action]
[Action]
Miss illusionist, I presume? Sorry, I didn't catch your name. I'm Guy.
[Action]
You mentioned previously that you wished for me to feed from your soul before I met with Luke. If that is still the case, I would recommended finding somewhere to sit. Harmless though my illusions may be, they can be a bit disorientating for those who have never experienced them. I would so dislike for you to fall and injure yourself accidentally.
[Action]
Err- You don't have to touch the person while you do this, right?
[Action]
It would be rather unfortunate were that the case, seeing as my kind is incapable of touching other creatures... but that will not be an issue, as the process is done through sight alone.
[Action]
Uh, I guess I'm ready.
[Action]
[She moves to begin untying her blindfold.] Under no circumstances are you to open your eyes until I say so.
[Action]
All right, I won't.
[Action]
[And when he does, the village is gone. No longer is Guy sitting on a bench, but on a bed. It even feels like a bed! Warm sunlight is shining in from the opens windows, illuminating the room that ought to be very familiar to him: it was an exact copy of Luke's bedroom in Baticul. Cheyenne was no longer standing in front of him, but was instead seated on the windowsill. Although her blindfold was gone, her eyes were still hidden from sight.]
I hope you do not mind the location. I merely chose to reflect the memory of a place you might be familiar with...
[Action]
Guy's already up on his feet before it actually registers that he stood up; the little girl -or whatever she is- is sitting on the windowsill he, Guy, would usually occupy when chatting aimlessly with Luke over everything or nothing at all.
Something like nostalgia mixed with longing pangs in his chest and he makes a fist, sitting back down.]
It's fine. So this is part of your illusion, right?
[Action]
[A pause.] However, I would recommend against traveling too far. This illusion is rather weak and will extend no further than what you can see.
[Action]
[Guy tilts his head; everything feels very familiar. It doesn't even feel like he's still sitting on the bench.]
So are you eating my soul as we speak, then?
[Action]
[She stretches an arm out the window towards the garden.] However, even a powerful illusion has an escape. One only need to fight against what they see for the illusion to break. In this case, it would be to run outside the bounds of the illusion itself.
Although I do not wish to imply you have reason to distrust me, I always feel it necessary to explain the weakness of my illusions, just in case the need ever arise in which you would must break from one yourself.
[Action]
So if I were to walk out that door, I'd wake up.
Would that hurt either of us?
[Action]
Given I cannot see my own illusions when they are a reflection of your memories, I cannot say for sure how comfortable you would be transitioning from your present surroundings back to the winter landscape of the village...
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
Could you release the illusion for me then, please? I think I've seen all I wanted to see.
[Action]
Although my illusions usually leave one feeling a bit tired when they are finished, seeing as the illusion I used had been rather weak, you shouldn't feel any such ill effects.
[Action]
Well, thank you for taking the time to show me how this all works, I do appreciate it.
