fabrecation: (It happens too much really)

006 [Written]

[Now that Luke can stay awake for more than an hour, he'd really like to get back to the people of Auldrant as well as the friends he made here in Luceti. He still can't hear anything, but... well, maybe no one has to know that. As long as they don't try talking to him, he'll be fine.

And being bedridden for these past few days has been extremely boring.

So, he grabs his journal and writes.]

Hey... I'm back.

[... Yup. Not much to expand on there. So let's go on.]

Anyone have any good stories to tell? Or... Actually, what's the most fun you've ever had? Here or in your world.

Asch, can I talk to you?

[Like Guy was just standing around as you fell over, Luke. He made another snowball and now THIS one is headed for YOUR face.]

[Smirk. Guy prepares another snowball, but he holds off on throwing it in order to gloat. He tosses it a couple times and strolls a bit closer so he can lord it over Luke properly.]

You should know better, Luke.

[And Guy had expected Luke to sulk for a little longer so he takes the snowball in the face. Again. It's about time to drag Luke down into the snow and start rubbing the stuff into his hair; it's actually kind of slushy, what with it being only just barely cold enough for snow and all, so hopefully Luke will get nice and soaked because of it.]

[After some more torture Guy shows mercy and gives Luke a gentle shove away. This is why you don't pick on someone perfectly healthy and bigger to boot.]

I hope you've learned your lesson.

[Guy notices both the laughter and the exhaustion, so he ducks inside for a brief moment.

When he jogs back out minutes later it's with two mugs of hot chocolate. God he loves that microwave thing. He has a seat next to Luke and nudges him with his knee, holding out his mug.]

[Guy reaches over to write -slowly- on Luke's arm instead of his palm, as it is currently preoccupied.]

Y-O-U-L-L H-E-A-R A-G-A-I-N

[He punctuates the sentence with a chiding flick to his arm and a stern look. Even if Luke doesn't get his hearing back eventually, Guy knows there's at least one man in the village who can fix Luke's ears.

Or beneath the village anyway.

And if Guy has to get down on his hands and knees and beg John for his help, he'll do it. Luke has to hear again. Has to.]

[Guy recognizes that funk and he hates it. Luke is such a pessimist sometimes. Though there's really no brief way to explain why Guy is so confident; maybe he'll write a letter or something.

...Well. That, and half of the confidence he has comes from his gut. He knows Luke can pull through just about anything.

Guy just shakes his head and takes a swig of his cooling hot chocolate, punching Luke lightly in the arm. Go ahead and mope if you want, you punk, Guy will keep up enough spirits for the both of you.]

[You were supposed to zip up that jacket he gave you, Luke.

Guy just stands and dusts the snow off of his pants, taking Luke's mug before holding out a hand to help him to his feet. Luke, actually, is right; he shouldn't be out much longer. In fact, it'd probably be good to bundle him up and get him into bed, just to be safe.]

[Which is fine, because Guy automatically bent to collect them before following Luke to the door.

When he pauses Guy tilts his head in question. What's up?]

[Luke definitely deserved it. Or he's pretty sure Luke deserved it; it was goofing off in the snow, he must've done something.

Guy nods and nudges Luke again to try and bully him inside where it's warmer. They can reminisce all they want on the move, and Luke should get inside before he gets too chilled because someone is too stubborn to zip up his jacket.]

[The mugs, earmuffs and scarf are abandoned on the table at the door, as well as Guy's boots and his own jacket. He shoots Luke a look -yes, he remembers that- and disappears down the hall for a moment to retrieve a towel, which he soon thereafter plops atop Luke's head to start drying him off.]

[Guy lifts the towel enough for his face to be visible and grins before mouthing very clearly, "Your fault." Because it's definitely all Luke's fault. Guy had to retaliate. And win.]

[Lol whatever. Guy roughly towels Luke's hair for a moment before leaving him with the towel over his head, making for the kitchen to make them some hot soup. It's way too cold to go without, anyway; good thing he almost constantly keeps some at least refrigerated like a good and proper mom.]
