[Now that Luke can stay awake for more than an hour, he'd really like to get back to the people of Auldrant as well as the friends he made here in Luceti. He still can't hear anything, but... well, maybe no one has to know that. As long as they don't try talking to him, he'll be fine.

And being bedridden for these past few days has been extremely boring.

So, he grabs his journal and writes.]

Hey... I'm back.

[... Yup. Not much to expand on there. So let's go on.]

Anyone have any good stories to tell? Or... Actually, what's the most fun you've ever had? Here or in your world.

[Ion calls out Luke's name the moment he sees his face in the journal, but when he sees the entry is written, he's going to follow suit without question.]

Luke! You're back!

[There's a moment of hesitance before he adds another sentence, concern likely evident on his face.] Are you all right?

[Asch takes one look at that locked section. Yep. Luke wants to talk.

And he shuts the journal without a word. NO, NO THEY CANNOT TALK.]

[It's Ion! Yaaay! But... leeet's not let him know what's wrong. No need to get him all worked up and worried.]

I was kinda beaten up, but I'm okay now. Guy just won't let me out of bed.

[Well then, Luke will wait and stare at the journal.

Forever.]

[And Guy will be coming to check on Luke later, since they'd moved him to his own room in the past couple days. He'll hover by the door until Luke notices him. ...unless it takes too long.]

[As if he isn't already worried... he's had enough of his friends being kidnapped all the time!]

That's a relief. [Smile.] Are you well enough for visitors?

[Luke's just staring down at the journal and waiting for responses, and he happens to glance around the room-

Luke did jump a little at the sudden appearance of Guy without warning, but he's slowly starting to get used to these things. He gives a little wave and closes the journal - he doesn't want Guy to see that Luke's trying to contact Asch ~~unsuccessfully~~.]

[!!!

Aaah, no! If Ion comes over then he'll worry over his hearing! But if he doesn't then he'll worry over his health!

DAMMIT.]

... Yeah! Sort of. I mean, you can come over... if you want to.

[Or a few hours, at least, around the time when Asch decides to honour Luke with a stirring and chipper reply.]

What?

[Or a blunt one filled with implied irritation, whatever works.]

[That was a rather odd reply... did he not want Ion to come over? Ion frowns for a few moments (he did miss Luke, after all) but then quickly goes back to that smile.]

If you're too tired for company right now, I could try again some other time?

[as;ldfkjs;o IT'S ASCH. Too bad emotions can't go through writing, otherwise Luke might be a little more hesitant with this thing.]

Asch, hey!

I ~~have a favor-~~ was wondering if you ~~wanted to~~ could... contact me?

[Guy shrugs apologetically before gesturing with his hand. They'd managed to develop a couple signals to ask common questions, which was working better than constantly writing on Luke.]

[Uuuugh, he saw that frown, and he did miss Ion... Maybe it'll be okay if he knows about it. Ion always considers others over himself, after all.]

No! No, it's fine! Just... You'll probably need something to write with, that's all. I'll explain later.

[......What. A bit of Asch's irritation fizzles into confusion.]

["luke r u ok"

Luke nods, although he gives a flat look as gestures with his hand again. "Bored". Yeah, he's been using that one a lot.]

Not through the journal, I mean... you know, the link.

~~Something to write with? But wh~~ All right, Luke. I'll be right over!

[But first, to locate a pen and a pad of paper... and then he'll have to ninja his way past Mother Hen Guy! ...or Natalia just let him in. Either way, soon he's knocking on Luke's bedroom door, completely unaware of the fact that Luke can't hear him. Sob.]

[Aaand Luke can't hear him. So, he'll just keep looking down at his journal, completely unaware that someone's waiting politely outside. fff.]

[ffff.]

Why the hell would you want that?

[Guy folds his arms and nods thoughtfully before gesturing for Luke to follow him.]

[Emphasis on politely, of course. It takes a few minutes for Ion to wonder if perhaps Luke fell asleep, and so he just cracks open the door and peeks inside.] Luke...?

[Luke, you are not asleep. Why you do this?]

~~Because I~~

Just... please?

[Luke gives that wide-eyed look that states confusion without having to say a word, but then he edges out of the bed and slowly stands. He still feels weak, but at least he doesn't need to be half carried like when they were moving him to his own room.]
