[Now that those are out of the way, Luke rests his chin in his hand and stares off to the side, lost in thought. The thing he wanted to talk to Ion about... It's been weighing heavily on his mind ever since he heard it. Luke isn't sure what to think of it, or even how to feel about it. There's a sort of happiness inside him, sure, but... he can't deny the hesitation and confusion he feels. So, after a few minutes, he opens up the journal again to ask the general populace:]

What do you think it means to have a soul?

There's no such thing as a soul. There's just that which makes up everything. That's Soul.

I told you, there's no such thing as a Soul. There's the bundle of Soul that in general can group together and make up you, but that isn't distinct from any other amount of Soul and it will mix with the rest if that which defines "you" is destroyed.

They're, um... particles of sound. They make up everything in my world - people, plants, air, things... There's seven kinds of elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth... Darkness, Light, and Sound itself. [Let's see, what else...] No one can see them unless they're clustered together, but I think that's kind of rare.

No, but the way they work is different. Very few people can "use" raw Soul. Where I come from, most people have to work with something else, and that is created and vanishes upon use.
