[Now that those are out of the way, Luke rests his chin in his hand and stares off to the side, lost in thought. The thing he wanted to talk to Ion about... It's been weighing heavily on his mind ever since he heard it. Luke isn't sure what to think of it, or even how to feel about it. There's a sort of happiness inside him, sure, but... he can't deny the hesitation and confusion he feels. So, after a few minutes, he opens up the journal again to ask the general populace:]

Maybe... I don't know. It's just... For a while, I didn't think I had one, and someone just showed me that I did. So I guess I'm trying to figure out... how.

[He appreciates that, really. He doesn't like going into topics he's uncomfortable with, though he knows he's treading the line just by asking his original question.]

Heh... It's stupid, isn't it? But with the way I always thought a soul worked... It'd make sense that I didn't have one. Now that I do... it's all kind of turned around on me.

[Being the nosy guy Sanji is, he quiets and glances through the responses, pausing the longest on Xion's... ah, so that's how it is. No wonder they get along so well.
