[Now that those are out of the way, Luke rests his chin in his hand and stares off to the side, lost in thought. The thing he wanted to talk to Ion about... It's been weighing heavily on his mind ever since he heard it. Luke isn't sure what to think of it, or even how to feel about it. There's a sort of happiness inside him, sure, but... he can't deny the hesitation and confusion he feels. So, after a few minutes, he opens up the journal again to ask the general populace:]

What do you think it means to have a soul?

I guess that would vary from world to world. I'm pretty sure it can get complicated in some places.

Yeah... sorta. I don't really want to get into it, but... I can say that I never thought I'd have one, and someone just showed me that I did.

A childhood friend of mine. There was... a mistake, and he ended up as just a soul attached to a suit of armor.

Yes. The version of my friend I met here was from a world similar, but different than my own.

I'm guessing the mistake didn't happen there...

[And that gets him to thinking. What if there was an alternate Auldrant world? That's where Noct came from, after all... Could there be a world where he was different?]

No, it did, but his journey to get his body back was different than the one I'm familiar with. I don't know what's happened in my world, but he was able to restore himself in his.

I wonder if there are other alternate worlds. I guess that opens up a lot of possibilities.

Still, if he found a way to get his body back, your friend should, too! That means it's not impossible!
