[Now that Luke can stay awake for more than an hour, he'd really like to get back to the people of Auldrant as well as the friends he made here in Luceti. He still can't hear anything, but... well, maybe no one has to know that. As long as they don't try talking to him, he'll be fine.

And being bedridden for these past few days has been extremely boring.

So, he grabs his journal and writes.]

Hey... I'm back.

[Luke's getting the feeling that this isn't out of the touching concern of friendship and is more just an interrogation. Still, he sighs. He hasn't seen Jade around lately, and Dist is pretty much the only other guy who can tell him if something's wrong with him.]

The ~~molasses~~ Malnosso? ... I don't know how, but they played really loud sounds in my ears. No matter how much I fought and dug at them, I couldn't make it stop, and it all just got louder... You know those noises that just give you the worst headache the second you hear it? It was like all of those at once.

I don't know how long I was there, but... Asch joined our minds to get me away from there. After that, they... I guess they kept playing the sounds, and then they tied my wings up with this... wire. I think that's all.

[...Wow. You are much more cooperative than your original is, Luke. Dist's legitimately surprised for a moment by just that, but then rereads the words to actually get something from them.]

I see. [He can only imagine what Luke went through, and his scientific mind is racing to find a purpose for it. All in all, it just sounded like needless torture.] Have you been to see a doctor? They could inspect your ear canals to properly diagnose the level of damage and prescribe some kind of medical treatment, or a time frame of how long it will take to heal. If the damage isn't permanent, that is.

Joined minds? [His brows rise and he stares down into his journal, grabbing a separate notebook to jot down notes.] Have you two done this before? What occurred when you both joined minds? Do you feel any loss or gain of anything? And your wings, how are they faring? Can you move them?

[Ah, just what you need, Luke. A rousing game of 20 Questions!]

[You'll find that Luke's pretty cooperative in most areas compared to Asch. All the questions make him give a rather annoyed face, but he'll try answering to the best of his ability.]

Asch healed me a little, then Natalia... But I haven't seen a doctor about it. We've joined minds before, while we were in Yulia City. What occurred... I can see, hear and feel everything he does, but I can't move at all. I didn't lose or gain anything, I still can't really move my wings and they hurt and I lost some feathers but I think they'll be ok. [The last part's a bit difficult to read as he was rushing through it.]

[Very cooperative. And Dist is going to monopolize on that little personality qurik right now, in fact. It does wonders for his research on you idiots.]

Asch healed you? With healing artes? [It'd make sense, given that Asch is technically a seventh fonist, after all. Dist just never thought of the redhead as much of a healer. And that's awfully generous of him, too. ...Huh.] I see. ~~That'd explain why~~ So the senses line up when you both join together - fascinating. Can you do the same to Asch in your body?

[He's really have to check their physical properties, but he's not sure even the replica would allow that. Once Dist ~~barely~~ reads about Luke's wings, he winces, and his own flutter uncomfortably.] I understand. I believe you'll recover well, though I suggest seeing a proper doctor about your hearing. It'd be beneficial to you, though if you'd rather not know the diagnosis and hope for the best...

[Hey, Dist doesn't know about the filial magic, or if Asch was actually using the seventh fonon there. If it's the latter, he wants he make a note of that. But he does nod, tapping his pen against the paper thoughtfully.
