[There's some irritated grumbling going on. Shuffle. Grumble. Shifting through leaves. Grumble. KICKING A TREE-]

Ow!

[... Grumble.

And now HI LUCETI, YOU'RE NOW SEEING THE BOTTOM OF SOMEONE'S FOOT. But it lifts up quickly, and in its place is a teenaged boy with short, scraggly red hair and green eyes staring curiously down at the journal. Aaand then it morphs an annoyed face.]

Man, this isn't even my journal... And where the hell did my shirt go?

[The person disappears and gives yet another grumble as he searches through some leaves... Then seems to resolve to find his way to the village, as his footsteps start to grow fainter and fainter. He may not know it, but he's going in the completely wrong direction of where he's supposed to go.]

... Really? [He holds up the journal again, looking very curious about it.] So it's like... one of those things on the Tartarus? Without the writing part?

[Oh man. It's been so long since she's even thought about the Tartarus.]

[Oh yeah, he remembers that letter from you, Anise. And AWESOME, SHE'S INSIDE THE BOOK, and Luke can't help waving and smiling sheepishly in return. He's missed her!]

[But then she mentions Luceti, and...]

... What do you mean "back"? I've never heard of Luceti before...

Oh, um. You were here, before! But you left a few months ago. But now you're back!

Uh, except you don't remember, obviously. Um. [She makes a face. This is hard to explain. Maybe Guy could do it for them.]

... What? I think I'd remember if I was here before, Anise! [Even though all he sees are forests and those always look the same to him.]

[What Luke might hear next is a very audible sigh. It's been a while since she's had to deal with a New Feather!]

You were! The Malnosso just decided to get a different you, I guess? I'm not really sure why the do that, but then nothing they do really makes sense...

Oh! What was the last thing you remember doing, before coming here? [a helpful question! there's hope for Anise yet.]

[This is all really confusing, but let's focus on someone else.]

O-Oh, uh... I was on a ferry going to see you guys. I just read your letter, too... By the way, thanks for sending it. I almost didn't get it.

[Please hold while Anise thinks about this.]

... What? [PLEASE CLARIFY, LUKE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND]

I'm from - um. [hold on, let her think.] I just came from Daath, after we... [after meeting Florian. Which Anise doesn't want to have to explain.]

[...] Okay, so this is kind of weird but I'm from your future or something like that. For me, I sent that letter to you ages ago!

Right, you do that. [huff.] In the meantime - are you okay? When are you coming to the village, huh? I haven't seen you in a while!

I guess I'm okay. My back hurts, and I keep stepping on rocks, and I'm lost... [f-fff, sheepish laughter here.] I keep saying things that makes this not okay, huh?

Do you know where the... uh, village is? [He hasn't seen her in a while and wishes to see her, too!]

You're totally lost, aren't you? [She giggles a little.]

Um, if you can find the river, try and follow it downstream! It should lead you to the village, and then I can come find you! Did your clothes come with you? We can stop by all the stores and get stuff you need!

Oh- Yeah, I think I hear it! Hold on...

[Walk walk walk! He gives little "ow!"s along the way as he steps on rocks and roots and other things he's definitely not used to walking barefoot on. And after a few minutes of this...]

Just follow it downstream?

Yup! And then you'll see the village in no time at all!

[Scuffle scuffle scuffle.] I'll head out to meet you, okay? Well, I'll try to, anyway!

Okay. I'll see you... wherever we meet up!

[With that, he lowers his journal, though he keeps it open just in case he gets completely lost again or something. So, Anise might hear those "ow!"s again, and even a "Stupid rock!", a light grunt and then a little splash as he kicks it into the water.]

[Well, Anise just keeps talking. Because it's just weird to keep quiet, you know?]

So you're probably gonna wanna move in with Guy and Asch, right? We'll be neighbors!

[Wait now, last time he remembered, Guy hated Asch. But that gets pushed back as it sinks in. Asch is here. And living with Guy. If that was really the case, then Luke had no right to interfere with that.]

... I don't think I should, Anise.

[Oh right time discrepancies. Fff.]

The last time you were here, you lived at their place, though! And they've got room to spare. It won't be so bad, I think!

[Whoever was here in his place must've been awfully rude, then, to barge in on Asch's life like that. Maybe it was his long-haired self...? No, it couldn't be. Luke can't believe it's really him at this point... Maybe someone somehow made another replica of him?

He wouldn't be surprised.]

But... Why would I do that? I don't want to take over his home again!

[Oh, right. From the time he comes from, Luke is kinda... yeah. Anise forgot.]

Guy would love to have you over, though! Asch wouldn't mind so much either, I think. I mean, what if they actually invited you? What're you gonna say to that?
