[It's cold. For one who does not like the cold very much, they can be pretty miserable. Luke walks through the village, coat unzipped but crossed over his chest and stomach, with a rather irritated look on his face. Dammit. If Guy were here he'd probably frown at him and zip up his coat before talking to him more...

He glares up at the sky and the little flakes of snow falling from it. He has his journal with him, so he slides it out of his pocket and opens it idly, turning on the video option as he keeps staring up at the sky.]

Damn, this is annoying... It feels like we barely even had fall. [He looks down at the journal now.] Does it ever seem like time's passing by really fast for everyone else?

[And thanks to him holding the journal, his coat's flapped open again. If Xion saw him, she'd definitely zip up...]

Oh...

[With that realization and idea in mind, Luke hurries over to get by a wall, as if that'll help him plan things with everyone else. Then, after some work, he gets some filters ready.]

A lot of people here know Xion, right? Well, um...

[He remembers Flynn, and how he talked about making Rapunzel's dream come true... Why can't he be as smooth as he was while doing that? There's a little blush on his face and everything... GAH. He'll just clear his throat and keep going. He's already started, so why not?]

Her birthday's coming up on the twentieth. Last time there was a surprise party for her, and I was thinking... Maybe we could do that again this year? Or something like that. October's been a pretty bad month for her. Things are getting better, but... I think she could still use something like the people who care about her celebrating her birthday.

[The fact that she was born... created. The fact that she's alive now...]

So we could hold it... somewhere. And maybe... sometime before sunset. ... I don't really know how to do any of this stuff.

[Though Luke wants to make this the best party ever and something she'll remember, so... hmm. Dilemma.]

Teasing or not, you can't underwhelm her either or that ruins the entire effect. What you need is something consistent to impress. What else does she like? [Draco knows she likes books and ice cream and shells and Padfoot, but he can't really expect Luke to make a party based on those.]

[Luke leans up against the wall at that, journal held down slightly to wrap the jacket a little further around himself. Hmm... what else does she like...]

The ocean. Books, ice cream... sea shells. [Of course, those are all the obvious things.] She likes cute outfits, like dresses and colored stockings. [Kind of reminds him of Tear, really.] The sunset, too... She always likes watching it with me. That's why I was thinking of having it sometime before then, so that she could see it later.

She likes the stars, too, after that. Sometimes we try to see who can point out the first star during the sunset... [Though they never really take that seriously. There is lots of teasing and shoving involved in that.]

She just... really likes stuff that have a lot of meaning behind them. A lot of memory. [Memories are important to her and all...]

[...right. Xion's a huge girl, he sort of forgot that part. As Luke's listing everything off, Draco's busy making notes in the margin, trying to think of a set-up.]

...wouldn't the best answer be something that she can relive over and over again?

... Maybe, but... wouldn't that get boring after a while?

I don't know, people seem to enjoy snowglobes and photographs just for that reason. You tell me.

[Luke has seen snowglobes in the shops before.

He found them utterly uninteresting after being wowed by the "snow" for like thirty seconds.]

Photographs sound good... But it's not like we take pictures of everything that happens.

[Draco isn't impressed with the snowglobes either, and Muggle photos are stupid, too. They don't even move!]

You don't suppose someone in this place has a camera?

... I don't really know. [There's this one man, Hughes... but he left and came back, right? For all he knows, Hughes has no idea who they are.]

I've still got some photographs left behind from other times, though.
