A certain redhead who's wearing nothing but briefs.

Every now and then, he appears to tug at something below his wrist with a little frown before moving on ahead casually, as if he doesn't even realize that he's pretty much half naked.

At least he's got the body for this kind of thing.]



((ooc: Luke is following The Emperor's New Clothes, although instead of believing his clothes are invisible to those who are stupid or unfit, he just thinks he's actually wearing very nice clothes.))

...my cloak's not that gaudy. [Prince Roxas is not pleased.] ...and what are you doing?

Your cloak isn't the gaudy thing... [Can't he see the outfit? It's so royal it's ridiculous. But... Luke had the sudden urge to try it on. One that he couldn't fight. And now that he's asking what he's doing...]

I was heading to the bakery. I thought I could get some... I don't know, something nice for Xion. [She could use any sort of happiness, even if it's small. It hurts to see her the way she is now...]

[perplexme]

Oh...[Yeah, that's a good idea. Roxas hated seeing Xion this way, too. He gnaws on his lower lip for a moment.] Mind if I come with you? Maybe I can help pick something out. [His quest for his horse can wait.]

Sure, I don't mind. I could use all the help I can get, anyway. [While he's pretty sure he knows what she likes, a second opinion wouldn't hurt. Besides, Roxas is one of her best friends.

So, Luke leads the way, cape fluttering behind him. Although now that it's on, he can't help frowning and wrapping it around himself a little. It's cold with this outfit on.]

[Good Luke. Wrap yourself up and try to save yourself from utter embarrassment. Roxas follows him into the bakery, inhaling a little deeper when the sweet smells of breads and pastries hit his nose.] So what'd you have in mind for her?

[Embarrassment? No, it's only the cold he's trying to save himself from. Jeez, it's only the beginning of autumn; it shouldn't be this cold... unless the weather changes freakishly fast too.

Luke's already looking at some of the displays, lingering on a few before he moves on.]

Nothing too big or fancy. I don't want her feeling like she has to eat it or something... But something good, too. Something she'll really like.

[Sure Luke, whatever you say 8| Roxas is looking at the displays too, humming in though as his prince-boots click on the floor.]

What about a cupcake?

[fabrecation]

Yeah... What kind do you think she'd like? Chocolate? [Admittedly, he's never shared cupcakes with her before... But she made chocolate for Elicia's birthday, so maybe...]

[perplexme]

Chocolate makes most girls feel better...I think. Chocolate with some frosting. And sprinkles. You know, because they're bright.

[fabrecation]

She does like bright colors... [So now he's migrated over to the cupcakes. Oh... jeez, they look tasty... Maybe Xion might share?]

[perplexme]

Too bad they don't make them just a little bigger. [He's just. Staring. Om nom cupcakes.] You've had cupcakes before, right, Luke?

[fabrecation]

Y-Yeah, sort of. I never had any before Xion made some for Elicia's birthday... I didn't even know you could make stuff like that.

[His gaze finally falls on one chocolate cupcake in particular with blue icing lined with white. It kind of looks like the ocean waves...]

We never really had them either back home. I don't know where Xion learned to bake, either. [He notices where Luke's attention goes though.]

...that one looks kinda cool.

[fabrecation]

She's learned a lot of things here. [He says that with a smile. It's admirable, knowing how much she's learned and is learning...

But now that Roxas has noticed the cupcake too, Luke glances back at him for a second.]

You think she'd like that one?

[perplexme]

She's fast on the uptake. She always has been.

[Nodnodnod.] I don't see why not. Even if she doesn't eat it she can look at it.

[fabrecation]

Yeah... it is kind of pretty to look at. [With that, Luke stands and points at the cupcake, and soon it's retrieved for him (after a rather pointed look at his exposed abdomen, of course.

He also points at some chocolates, though; cherry cordials, it looks like. That's for someone else.]

Wait, Xion's still got those bird arms, right? [How is she supposed to eat with those?]

[perplexme]

Yeah...you might have to feed it to her or something. [But don't think he doesn't see those chocolates, Luke. ARE YOU CHEATING ON XION? DOES HE HAVE TO STALK YOU AGAIN?]

[fabrecation]

[Oh relax, it's just for his original. He just thought he'd be nice, especially in the face of Van.

Both of the desserts are put into a bag with a plastic container around them to keep them fresh. Luke smiles and gives his thanks, then borrows a pen, goes to one of the tables, and draws on the bag with the cupcake. He tries, oh, he tries so carefully, but the heart he draws still ends up lopsided. gdit. He ends up making a face at how it looks, but... it'll have to do.

... And as an afterthought, he gestures to the other bag.]

That's for my housemate, Asch. [He can't say "my original". Not when Roxas doesn't know that he's a replica... at least, not to Luke's knowledge. He holds up the heart'd bag though with a raised eyebrow.] Uh... Does this look okay to you?

[perplexme]

[He's hovering over Luke a bit, watching what he's doing. He does raise an eyebrow a bit at the housemate comment, if only because he wasn't aware Luke was that nice to his housemates, or that close. Well, maybe it wasn't that weird. After all, Axel brought Kairi cupcakes sometimes. He's got his own suspicions about who Asch really is, but he'll save those for later. When the redhead asks about the drawing though, Roxas also makes a face.]

...to be honest? It kind of looks like a kidney. [Roxas you are the least helpful.] But she'll probably at least appreciate the effort?
