012 [Action/Voice]
[Ever since Bil/Catherine/whatever told him that the sword Guy lost would probably be returned, Luke checked the weapon shop every day in the hopes of finding it. The days he didn't find it were met with a disheartened sigh, half-hearted lingering to check out the rest of the weapons, then wandering back home. He remained hopeful, though, always diligently checking to see if it was there.
Today, however, Luke's efforts paid off. There, glittering on one of the displays, is the weapon he'd been looking for. He nearly sags with relief, and he grabs the sword before anyone can even think of taking it for themselves. He stays a little longer to see if everyone's doing okay with Sokka still at the draft, and then he heads home, sword in hand.
After all of that, Luke heads to his room and flops down on his bed, a little worn out from the day's events. He opens his journal, hoping to get to talk to at least one or two of the draftees whenever the Malnosso decide to return them to the hotel rooms.]
How's everyone doing out there?

How's everyone doing out there?
[action]
But the knock and the voice makes him jump and spin around, and... there's the Jewel of Gardios, gripped awkwardly in Luke's left hand as he raises it up a little with surprise.]
Whoa, Guy! Jeez, say something before you...
[... Ah, right. The sword is. Kind of right there, huh.
So much for formal.]
[action]
...found that, did you?
[He'd thought he would never see it again. Had resolved to let it go.]
[action]
[How did he practice this? Luke had just about gotten it right before Guy bolted him out of it, and now everything he'd rehearsed had flown out of his head. He turns the sword slightly in his hand - dammit, dammit, what had he told himself to say?
Then again... Maybe it's better this way.
Luke holds out the sword with one hand... then thinks better of it, leans it to the side to lay the flat side of it in his other hand, and then offers it to Guy.]
I'm sorry for making you lose it.
[action]
Then he tossed it to the side; it landed on the floor with a heavy clunk. Guy stepped over it and pulled Luke into a hug.]
I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
[action]
And then he's pulled into a hug, and... Well, his eyes still stay wide, and he doesn't hug back at first. Just stays frozen in place while he glances over at Guy's hair.]
... What? But that's...
[action]
Guy squeezes Luke before pulling back and holding him at arm's length.]
Luke, you're more important to me than any sword or any family legacy. I want you to understand that, okay? I want you to know it.
You are more important to me than being a Gardios is.
[action]
But it only lasts for a second, and in the next, he smiles, chuckles and ducks his head to hide that small, embarrassed blush on his face. He's a replica, but that doesn't really matter. They're still best friends. Guy and Luke. Not human and replica. Luke might not understand what it means to have something passed down through the family, something as important as that sword, but... he's pretty sure he'd feel the same way as Guy right now.]
I-I know, I know. Thanks, Guy... but I still wanted to get it back. It's my fault it got lost.
[action]
[Guy gives one of Luke's shoulders a friendly push before turning to retrieve the Jewel, examining it again with bright eyes.]
Though it wasn't your fault, it was mine. A good swordsman never loses his weapon, that's one of the first things Pere taught me.
[action]
Yeah, but I was the one who screwed up and got hurt. If I paid attention more, maybe I wouldn't have...
[He trails off, because the memory still makes him a little queasy.]
[action]
[Guy throws his free arm over Luke's shoulders and shakes him a bit.] If you're still feeling guilty, you can help me with dinner to make up for it.
[action]
Y-Yeah, okay... What're we having?
[action]
Hey. It wasn't that bad, I was just having fun with you. [Tugging Luke to the kitchen.]
[action]
[action]
[action]
[SHOVED. asdlfkjsdj he WOULD turn around and shove right back, but Guy's already gone. Man.
Well. Once Guy gets back, Luke will be waiting by the door to give him a light punch in the arm and await instructions.]
[action]
You still haven't told me what you want to eat.
[action]
Uh... Chicken curry, I guess.
[action]
Guy will give Luke some instructions to chop -he can't possibly screw THAT up, can he?- and some space before attempting to broach the subject.]
So what's wrong?
[action]
Huh? Nothing, why?
[action]
Oh, just wondering.
[LET'S JUST. Leave Luke to it then. If there's something wrong he'll stew in it until he finally cracks and spills the beans.]
