How do you get better faster if you're sick?

[It's worth noting that since Luke's voice is slightly hoarse and a little deeper from whatever he's infected with, he sounds just like Asch. Maybe slightly more raspy, but otherwise he's pretty spot on and doesn't even know it.]

[Thankfully, Ion sets the trashcan down and doesn't see the blood stains within. But even so, Luke's words do little to reassure him. Maybe a few months ago he'd be more readily optimistic, but these past few months in Luceti had been wearing down on him more than he'd like to admit.]

[He bites his lip and nods before sitting back down. Then, grabbing his notebook, he writes a reply:]

Not just this house. All of your friends are looking out for you, Luke.

[And he punctuates that with the best smile he can muster. No sense dragging down Luke's mood even more while he's sick!]

[Luke doesn't respond verbally, but with a smile. As big and confident as he can make it, because while he's a little scared of what he's come down with, he knows that he's got people to take care of him. And he'd rather people think that he's going to be okay rather than the opposite, if only to give him the confidence for it.]

[It's a good think Luke's illness isn't as contagious as his smile, or Ion would be done for. He can't help but smile just a little brighter.]

[And of course, it's only now that Luke is smiling so happily that Ion notices just how messy Luke's hair had gotten following that last bit of coughing. Ion stares for a moment before covering his mouth and looking away.]

[It may be completely silent, but it's fairly obvious that Ion is softly laughing. Sorry, Luke.]

[And Luke... makes that exact face.]

What's so funny?

[Ion stops laughing quickly enough, but the moment he looks back at Luke, the giggles start again. That face isn't helping things, Luke!]

[Hoping Luke gets the message, Ion reaches up and gently tugs on his own hair before pointing over at Luke's hair.]

[Hair... Hair? It takes a good minute for Luke to understand and stop looking at Ion funny, since his brain's being fried by a fever and all-

... Hair. Hair!

Luke reaches up to feel his own hair and - fff. He reaches up both hands to frantically run both hands through it - af;ljsf how embarrassing!]

Gah- So what?! It's just hair!

[In Ion's defense, the longer it took Luke to realize what he meant, the funnier it became. And so, clearly, he can't be blamed for having buried his face in his hands while trying to stifle his silent laughter.]

[Once Luke began smoothing down his hair, Ion peeked up from between his fingertips and smiled. He waits for Luke to look back in his direction before mouthing a small apology for teasing him.]

[And once he does, Luke just holds down his hair with both hands and GLARES. Only not really since you can't possibly glare at Ion.]

Yeah, I bet you're sorry...

[Come on now, that apology was completely sincere!]

[But just how long can you keep that glare up when Ion is smiling at you like this, Luke? He's going to keep smiling until he sees one in return~]
