[Asch spots him from the doorway, peering in dubiously for a long moment as if still trying to decide whether or not he should even bother. Finally he steps in fully and heads to the lower cupboard, dragging out a pot.]

[Luke jumps a little and stares at Asch for a bit, stuck between saying hello or just getting started.]

O-Oh... Okay. [So, he'll settle on turning to look for the broth. Thankfully, he knows what consomme is from overhearing it a few times, otherwise he'd have no idea what the heck he's looking for.]

[He's a bit short for it, but with enough effort Asch gets the pot on the stove. A few utensils and some extra ingredients later, and he heads over to where Luke is standing, peering at the recipe. ...And feeling shorter. Why is his stupid replica so big now 8|]

O-Okay. [The kid's just ten years old and Luke still feels like Asch is the boss of him. Doesn't really surprise him, though; Luke is just seven-years-old and all. He rubs the back of his neck and glances at the recipe, trying to get a good idea of what he's making, then gets to work.]

[Asch shrugs.] not a lot. I watched the cooks make it sometimes. It's Mother's favourite.

Oh... Oh! [He'd nearly forgotten, because back in the day he barely cared about what anyone else ate, and when he did she didn't have it made as much because of her illness.]

I'll... ["have to make it for her sometime", but he doesn't want this whole cooking experience to turn sour, so he scrambles for another train of thought.] ... Maybe it'll be Guy's favorite, too!

He stirs quietly for a moment, then adds in a soft, vaguely bothered voice,] ...I don't know what to call you.
