[It felt like dying. It felt like being caught inside a large, ringing bell and being unable to escape.
It was something he walked into willingly. And yet as it was happening, he wanted to stop, and yet he knew that he couldn't. To stop would mean the deaths of millions of others, and what's one life compared to that many?
Nothing, nothing at all. But...
Then the ringing stopped, but Luke barely noticed. Instead he was falling, falling until he fell not onto the hard floor of the tower, but the soft earth of another world. He loses consciousness before he's even aware of that.]
[Later, he can be found at the clothing shop and the item shop to pick up some things, and after a run-in with Sync and Ion, Luke had briefly visited his old apartment before he decided that he just couldn't stay. He sits heavily by the fountain, bent over with his head in his hand while the other hand holds on tight to the only item she'd left him.
He's a little hesitant to do this, and it makes him glance at his journal a couple of times, before he makes his decision. He opens up his journal, turns on the video function, and - clears his throat awkwardly first.]
This is how it works, right...? [Ah, right. He glances away and runs a hand through his (shorter, more unruly) hair before he gives the journal his attention again.] Um, hey. My name is Luke fon Fabre, and - and I was here before. I think it was just last week? It was a lot longer for me...
So... I'm back? And I'm sorry for leaving. I guess that's all I have to say...
[Except it's not, and it's just as he starts to shut the journal that he remembers.]
Oh yeah - [And he throws up a hasty filter.]
[Locked to House 1 residents (Nephry, Jade, Tear, Anise, Florian, Ion)]
Hey, uh... do you guys mind if I stay with you for a little while? It doesn't have to be for long or anything, I just - I need to find another place to stay. That's all it is.

[action]
In the past, he used to be able when Asch was near. Now, it's the footsteps that alert him, and he winces before opening his eyes, his prediction of the sun being way too bright for his overloaded mind to handle without a ringing sort of pain coming true.
It's nothing compared to the elation upon seeing his original, as if seeing him really pounded in just how important Asch is to him, how close they've become over the past two years. Seeing him alive, even if he doesn't know their fates back at home; Luke had just stopped him from going through his mass suicide back at home... taking it up himself instead.
His pained expression turns into a big smile, and he pushes at the ground to get to his feet.]
Asch!
[action]
Were you hurt?
[He seems alright, but in Luceti you never really know what condition people are going to arrive in. Case in point: himself, bleeding from three impalement wounds that no one had bothered to fix before dumping him in the enclosure.]
[action]
[God, Luke wants to hug him so badly. But using so much of his own fonons earlier, the memories being forced into his head, and being jabbed by the fonic link he isn't used to anymore makes him sway on his feet as soon as he's standing, making him lean his side against the tree again and duck his head down.]
- just feel like throwing up a little...
[action]
If you throw up on me, I'll kill you.
[His generosity only goes so far, ugh.]
[action]
I said a little, it's not like I'm really...
[And then he lowers his head again, a small laugh escaping him that sounds like a half cough.]
... If I was, I swear I'd do it all over your shoes. But I just feel really... tired.
[action]
[Bratty replicas being bratty. He pauses for a moment, then frowns and glances over at him. It's. It's not like he's worried. He just doesn't want to carry anyone back.]
You alright?
