008 [Action/Voice]

[Luke had been trying to get back to House 5, but it's awfully hard to do so with a sudden crowd of people. There's a whole slew of sounds coming from the journal as if Luke's right in the middle of the crowd, along with Luke himself switching between trying to be polite and being outright indignant about being pushed through a sea of people. One can hear him saying "Excuse me" and "Sorry", along with "HEY" and "WATCH IT, YOU JERK".

Eventually, though, the noises fade as Luke escapes and slides down the wall of a house that he decided to take refuge behind. With a loud sigh, Luke straightens his jacket and speaks to the journal, ignoring the light pain in his abdomen from his still healing wound.]

What a pain...

Guy, Asch, Natalia, I don't think I can make it back to the house. I'll just camp out or something, okay?

[Maybe he can find some marshmallows and make some awesome smores or something. Away from the sudden crowd.]

[J-Just. What is going on? But Luke hates to be rude to anyone, so he blinks out of his stupor and works himself up to stand again.]

N-No, I mean- I'm fine! I just... have to figure out how to get out of here, that's all.

You just have to push your way through the crowd. [He snorts, because what is this; his kid brother would've totally mauled the crowd by now.] It's not that hard.

[Okay, this is more like something that Asch would suggest, so maybe this isn't so far-fetched after all.]

I don't want to shove anyone or anything...

[Pfffft, that gets a snort out of Asch] So? You've never been above shoving people before. What's stopping you now?

[Well, one reason is that his injury is aggravating him, but he'll just keep that one hidden. He doesn't like admitting to Asch that he's hurt or anything.]

They already look lost and scared, and I don't want to bother them more than I have to!

[If he knew magic, Asch'd heal him asap. D: ]

That's because they're not used to suddenly appearing in new worlds. Can you blame them? [Still, Asch makes a motion to move through all these people.] Come on. We've got a-ways to go before we reach your place.

Don't say that! It's your place too!

[Except he trails off once he sees Asch's back and sees a lack of something he should have.]

... Hey, where're your wings?

I never got them. [Amused Asch is amused and also wondered how long it'd take Luke to notice.] So I don't think I'll be hanging around this place very long.

But... You had them just a second ago!

I'm not your Asch. [almost as if he just thought of this:] Quick. Tell me my full name.

[fabrecation]

Wha... [Not "his Asch"? Luke has to pause before he answers, because not only does that sentence floor him, but he also isn't sure how to answer. Asch's real name is... But Asch said that he'd given up on it. So... He'll hesitantly answer.]

A-Asch... Asch the Bloody.

[At this, Asch shakes his head very slowly.]

Avidan fon Fabre. This is going to sound weird, but... I'm from another world where I never took on that name.

"Avidan"... what-?

[Noct was from another world, right? Where there were eight fon master replicas, not seven. It's only when Luke thinks of it that way that he widens his eyes.]

So you're... not Asch? I-I mean, you are, but...

I'm Asch but I'm not Asch. Right. [manages a small smile]

It's... kinda complicated. Though I imagine this place - Luceti, right? - has its own share of complications.

Uh... Y-Yeah. [He just answers automatically - dear lord, this is so weird. And Asch is so calm about it! Luke edges himself up the wall - he can't help lowering his head to hold back a wince - before he looks up at Asch again.]

This isn't Auldrant... But you know that, huh? [SO WEIRD.]

It wasn't hard to figure out. [He snorts at this] I've traveled between worlds often enough to know when I'm home and when I'm somewhere new.

You've what? [Yeaah he's ignoring that last question.]
